A Democratic super PAC has reserved nearly $7.5 million in airtime in media markets in competitive congressional districts across the country, including West Palm Beach.
The House Majority PAC last week announced it had placed its first round of television reservations for the final weeks of the 2016 election cycle. The super PAC made reservations in eight media markets, and allowed the committee to lock in rates early in competitive media markets.
Alixandria Lapp, the executive director of the House Majority PAC, said the organization is “once again making sure that our dollars go further by locking in rates early.”
“Democrats have numerous pick-up opportunities nationwide, and the Republican Party is in disarray from the top of the ticket to the bottom,” she said in a March 30 statement. “We can expect an onslaught of desperate, negative attacks from the Koch Brothers, Karl Rove and other GOP groups. With these early reservations, we’re taking a first step in ensuring that House Majority PAC is prepared to counter the GOP’s outside groups this fall and help Democrats across the country.”
House Majority PAC reserved more than $901,000 in airtime in the West Palm Beach market. The group also reserved time in Denver, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Las Vegas, Manchester, New Hampshire; New York City and Philadelphia.
According to The Hill, the group did not specify which seats it was targeting.
