Susannah Randolph has received the endorsement of The Feminist Majority for her Democratic run in Orlando-based Congressional District 9.
The Feminist Majority is one of the foremost women’s rights organizations in the nation, and cited Randolph’s advocacy for reproductive rights and healthcare, including a woman’s right to access to safe and legal abortion.
“We’re proud to stand with Susannah Randolph, a true fighter for women’s rights. Through her service on the board of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, she’s proven time and time again that she will be a strong champion for women’s reproductive health and for women’s access to abortion and birth control. What’s more, she will work to gain economic equality for women and working families,” Eleanor Smeal, President of the Feminist Majority, stated in a news release issued by Randolph’s campaign.
Randolph is running in a big field seeking the Democratic primary nomination to try to succeed incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, who is running for the U.S. Senate, rather than for re-election. Others in the Democratic field are state Sen. Darren Soto of Orlando, Dr. Dena Minning, businesswoman Valleri Crabtree and former state Rep. Ricardo Rangel.
Randolph is featured on the Feminist Majority Political Action Committee’s website.
