April marked Bob Rommel’s best fundraising period to date.
The Naples Republican raised $20,425 toward his House District 106 campaign in the one-month fundraising period. State records show Rommel has raised $77,636 since throwing his hat in the race in July 2015.
Rommel spent $4,769 during the one-month fundraising period. Among his top expenses were $2,000 for consulting fees and $1,500 for a fundraising event. He has more than $60,000 cash on hand.
Rommel faces Naples Republican Lavigne Kirkpatrick in the race to replace state Rep. Kathleen Passidomo in the Florida House. Passidomo has decided to forego a re-election bid, running instead for the Florida Senate.
Brandon Smith, a no-party-affiliation candidate, has also filed to run in House District 106.
