Former Jax Councilman Warren Jones takes over school board race

Former Jacksonville City Councilman Warren Jones took control of the District 5 School Board race in Duval County in June.

The $16,150 he raised gives Jones over five times the money raised of the other three candidates in the race, Bradford HallBrenda Jordan, and Hank Rogers.

Jones, the longest-tenured councilman in Jacksonville history, raised money from the Jacksonville political establishment, with maximum contributions from Gary ChartrandPeter Rummell, and Wayne Weaver.

Former Jacksonville City Councilman Matt Carlucci, meanwhile, donated $500.
