Former Duval County Sheriff John Rutherford, a Republican in Florida’s 4th Congressional District race, rolled out key endorsements Wednesday.
“I am proud to release this list of elected officials supporting my message of reforming Washington. Americans are sick and tired of a federal government that does not respond to their needs,” Rutherford said.
The endorsers: Tax Collector Mike Corrigan, Clerk of the Court Ronnie Fussell, and members of the Jacksonville City Council, such as Al Ferraro, Aaron Bowman, Scott Wilson, Matt Schellenberg, Jim Love, and Anna Lopez-Brosche.
“These individuals join Mayor Lenny Curry, Duval County Sheriff Mike Williams, St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar, and Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper in supporting my campaign,” the release continues, pointing out endorsements from all three counties in the district.
These endorsements are the second piece of good news for Rutherford on Wednesday, who is ahead by 14 points in a poll from the University of North Florida, which also shows him ahead in Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns County with likely Republican voters.

Of course, a failed pension millionaire politician will have the support of all the failed establishment polticians who helped him bankrupt the pension system.
