If you were watching cable news this morning, there’s a chance you might have seen Ed Narain‘s new television ad, which began airing Wednesday.
The Tampa-based state representative is running in the ultra-competitive Senate District 19 Democratic primary to be held late next month, where he is battling Darryl Rouson, Betty Reed and Augie Ribeiro for the nomination. The winner is expected to defeat Republican John Houman in November.
Narain is serving his second and final year as a member of the Florida House representing District 61, which includes downtown Tampa, Ybor City, V.M. Ybor, Tampa Heights and Seminole Heights.
The ad features a brief cameo of his schoolteacher wife, Monica, and a bigger platform for the Narain’s two young daughters.
“Being a husband and father are the two most important jobs that I have,” Narain says. “My family keeps me grounded and reminds me of all the reasons I fight so hard for our community in Tallahassee.”
