The National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare Political Action Committee has endorsed Democrat Susannah Randolph in Florida’s Congressional District 9 contest.
Randolph faces three other Democrats in the Aug. 30 Democratic congressional primary for the district, which covers south-central Orange County, Osceola County and eastern Polk County. The others are state Sen. Darren Soto, Valleri Crabtree and Dena Grayson.
The winner would face the winner or the Republican primary in the November general election, either Wanda Rentas or Wayne Liebnitzky.
“She [Randolph] is a lifelong progressive with a strong and consistent record of standing up for our nation’s seniors,” Max Richtman, president the NCPSSM PAC board, stated in a news release issued by Randolph’s campaign. “Susannah will be a key ally in Congress — she will fight to expand and strengthen Social Security and Medicare, and ensure that our seniors have access to the benefits they have earned. We look forward to continuing to work with Susannah once she is elected.”
