In the two weeks from June 25 to July 8, 4th Circuit State Attorney candidate Melissa Nelson raised $166,000 in hard money combined with political committee money.
The political committee, “First Coast Values,” brought in $150,000 of that sum, with $25,000 donations from Wayne Hogan, Wayne Weaver, Gary Chartrand, and Lawrence Dubow leading the way.
The committee has $176,000 cash on hand as of July 8.
The campaign account reports a five-digit haul: $16,085 of new money.
Nelson’s campaign, which spent $10,237 in the period, now has over $274,000 on hand, giving her operation $450,000 in total to work with.
In contrast, as of June 24 numbers, incumbent Angela Corey had $190,000 on hand.
