Despite serving with his opponent, Bill McClure, on the St. Johns County Commission, Rachael Bennett is backing Hans Tanzler in the GOP race for the nomination in Florida’s 4th Congressional District.
“Hans Tanzler is the leader we need in Washington,” said Bennett. “His deep roots in our area, his rock-solid conservative convictions, and the fact that he’s not a career politician make him the perfect choice to represent St. Johns County in Congress.”
“I am honored to have Commissioner Bennett’s support,” said Tanzler. “She is an outstanding local leader, committed to limited government and individual responsibility. I look forward to working with her to maintain our high quality of life here in Northeast Florida.”
Bennett has been backed through her political career by Sen. Travis Hutson‘s family, who is involved in land development in St. Johns County.
Hutson also endorsed Tanzler this cycle.
