Republican nominee Dean Asher has received the endorsements of the Florida Police Benevolent Association and the Central Florida Police Benevolent Association in his bid for Florida’s Senate District 13, his campaign announced Friday.
The two organizations represent several thousand law enforcement officers across the state of Florida.
“Dean has been a strong advocate for us as an engaged citizen in his own community and we know that he will be a strong advocate for us in Tallahassee,” said Florida PBA Executive Director Matt Puckett in a news release issued by the Asher campaign.
Asher faces Democratic nominee Linda Stewart in the Nov. 8 general election for the Orlando-based Senate seat.
“The men and women who protect our families and our communities each and every day will always have my support,” Asher stated. “I look forward to working with the FPBA and our local law enforcement to ensure that Senate District 13 remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.”
