Travis Hutson’s re-election ad is all about family

State Sen. Travis Hutson, running a campaign against a lightly funded Democrat, probably doesn’t need a television ad this cycle.

But he’s got one anyway.

Hutson’s ad introduces viewers to his family: his wife, two kids, and his dog, Tia.

“They remind me every day why the future is worth fighting for,” Hutson said, before the ad leaves the idyllic scene of the Hutson family kitchen for other idyllic scenes outside the family compound.

Describing “schools that work” and “jobs that secure us,” Hutson tells SD 7 viewers that this “isn’t about [his] family.”

“It’s about yours. We’re in this together. And there’s nothing I won’t do to keep it that way,” Hutson says, as the ad closes with an extended shot of a community park where delighted, clean children play on new equipment.
