AFL-CIO backs Democrat Dave Bruderly in CD 4 race

Dave Bruderly

Dave Bruderly, the Democratic candidate in Northeast Florida’s 4th Congressional District, was endorsed by the AFL-CIO on Friday.

The letter from Florida AFL-CIO President Mike Williams to Bruderly asserted that “[w]ith over 500,000 AFL-CIO members in the state of Florida, our endorsement can make a great difference in your election campaign.”

Bruderly is running against the well-known GOP nominee, former Jacksonville Sheriff John Rutherford, in a heavily Republican district centered around Jacksonville.
