Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry isn’t changing his administration’s game plan ahead of legislative delegation meetings Wednesday and Thursday.
On Tuesday, Curry said his asks would be “consistent with what I’ve been doing since I’ve been in office. Public safety, infrastructure will be top topics of discussion.”
“Yes, I would say you should be there,” Curry said when asked if he would address any specific priority for the city at Wednesday’s Duval County Legislative Delegation meeting.
He was not willing to break news and go deeper into what that specific ask would be. He will, however, “talk about Jacksonville’s priorities, what we have accomplished, how far we still have to go.”
Curry is the keynote lunch speaker at Thursday’s First Coast Legislative Delegation meeting, and he said that his approach to the local and regional delegations won’t vary.
“It’s the same. Jacksonville does well, the metropolitan area does well. The metropolitan area does well, we do well,” Curry said.
“Members of the surrounding delegation, even outside of Duval County, have been helpful the last session, have been great team players. We’ll continue that relationship.”
