Gov. Rick Scott on Friday appointed Adam Hollingsworth, his former chief of staff, to the University of North Florida Board of Trustees.
Hollingsworth, 48, of Tallahassee, is the founder and principal of Ergon Strategies, LLC, a church management and strategic consulting firm. He also was an elder at City Church in Tallahassee.
He was the third of five chiefs of staff under Scott, succeeding Steve MacNamara and replaced by Melissa Sellers, now Melissa Stone.
Hollingsworth succeeds E. Lanny Russell on the board and will serve till Jan. 6, 2021. The appointment must be confirmed by the Florida Senate.
