The campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Chris King is reporting raising $82,433 in August, bringing it toward a total of $2.49 million total donations.
The income included $34,644 raised by King’s official campaign fund, and another $47,900 raised by his independent political committee, Rise and Lead.
The campaign reported it ended August with about $1.69 million cash in hand.
King, a Winter Park developer, faces former U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham of Tallahassee and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum for the Democratic nomination to run in the 2018 election. Leading Republicans so far are Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and state Sen. Jack Latvala of Clearwater.
