EDGE Communications, a Democratic political and public affairs consulting firm, has promoted Kalynn Cook from Senior Campaigns Director to Vice President, the company announced Monday.
“Since joining my firm in 2015, Kalynn has been of the strongest hires we’ve made as she brings top-notch work ethic and a passion to serve our clients,” said EDGE Communications founder and President Christian Ulvert.
“She is always eager to help find solutions for our client needs and is driven by our high ethical standards that ensure we stay focused on the finish line.”
The firm also will soon add a campaign associate to serve clients “across the state and Southeast region of the country.”
Ulvert now is senior campaign adviser to former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine’s gubernatorial campaign.
Recent high-profile wins include Annette Taddeo‘s election to a state Senate seat and Dan Gelber‘s election as Mayor of Miami Beach. Other victories scored by the firm include Macadam Glinn‘s win as Miami Shores Mayor, as well as Mark Samuelian‘s election and Micky Steinberg‘s re-election to the Miami Beach City Commission.
“I am grateful to work in an environment where we are challenged every day to think strategically and offer resources for a diverse slate of clients,” Cook said.
“I am excited to be part of the firm’s growth as we head into what will be one of the most energizing and defining election cycles for Democrats in Florida and across the country. We are ready to take our best practices and put them to work for our clients in 2018.”
