Republican Matt Spritz will hold a fundraiser next week for his bid to replace term-limited Rep. Bill Hager in Palm Beach County-based House District 89.
The April 4 event will be held at the West Palm Beach office of law firm Gunster, 777 South Flagler Drive, and will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Listed on the host committee for the fundraiser are lobbyist and former state Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff and former U.S. Sen. George LeMieux, both of whom have endorsed Spritz’ candidacy.
Prospective attendees can get more information on the fundraiser or RSVP by sending an email to [email protected].
Spritz, a Boca Raton attorney, faces Delray Beach accountant Michael Caruso in the Republican Primary for the seat, while Democrats James Bonfiglio and Ryan Rossi are competing for their party’s nomination. No-party candidate Deborah Gibson has also opened a campaign account.
Through February, Spritz was in the No. 2 spot in money race, with nearly $106,000 on hand in his campaign account and another $30,000 in his committee, Invest in Florida.
HD 89 covers coastal Palm Beach County from Singer Island through Boca Raton, where the majority of the district’s voters live. It has a Republican lean and has been held by Hager since it was redrawn ahead of the 2012 elections.
