Republican state Rep. Bobby Olszewski has been endorsed by the Orange County Fire Fighters association in his re-election bid in Orange County’s House District 44, his campaign announced Monday.
“You have demonstrated support for the health and safety of our members by supporting the PTSD bill. For these reasons, our board feels that you are the best candidate to represent our men and women across the state of Florida and the citizens of District 44,” Andre Perez, president of the Orange County Fire Fighters Association, Local 2057 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, stated in a news release issued by Olszewski’s campaign.
He faces Democratic former state Sen. Geraldine Thompson in the Nov. 6 election. HD 44 covers southwest Orange County.
“I am honored to be endorsed by the Orange County Fire Fighters Association joining the previous support of both the Florida Professional Firefighters and the Winter Garden Professional Fire Firefighters for my re-election in Florida House District 44,” Olszewski stated in the news release. “The impact our first responders make for our community daily goes beyond measure and having the support of the men and women of the Orange County Fire Fighters Association is a source great of pride.”
