U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is headed to Jacksonville Thursday for a fundraiser, and Mayor Lenny Curry is officially part of the program.
Curry, a former chair of the Republican Party of Florida, won his second term last week with 58 percent of the vote in a four candidate field.
The reception for Trump Victory is Thursday, March 28th at 5pm in Jacksonville. Tickets are $500, and photos are $5,000, per the most recent guidance.
Notably, Curry’s highest-profile challenger, a Republican on the Jacksonville City Council, courted Democrats and demurred commentary on the President during the 2019 campaign. The thought was that the White House connection would sink the Mayor’s re-election bid.
Curry was pilloried by Democrats for being a Trump supporter. The Mayor, who hosted a rally for Candidate Trump in 2016, did not shy away from connections to the President in his campaign marketing to Republicans.
The March 28 event will feature a number of high-profile Republicans, including U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and RNC Co-Chair Tommy Hicks Jr. Trump Victory finance chairman Todd Ricketts is also listed on the invite.
The trip is the latest in a long line of Jacksonville stops for Pence, who most recently came to the Bold City to campaign for then-candidate Ron DeSantis’ successful gubernatorial bid.
Pence also flew in for a healthcare roundtable with then-Gov. Scott shortly after Pence was sworn in two years ago.

$500 to attend, $5000 for photo?! Wow, there will not be any of the common folk there. Can’t wait for photos of attendees!
