Leah Nash has been tapped as the new executive director of the League of Women Voters of Florida, the organization announced Monday.

Nash moves up to executive director after serving as Voter Services Chairperson for the League of Women Voters Orange County.

She has volunteered at the League since 2017, leading the local chapter’s voter services team through the 2018 and 2020 election cycle, as well as through multiple local elections. She is also a former member of the LWVOC Board of Directors.

“Leah comes to us with over 20 years of career and volunteer experience in membership/patient associations, nonprofit organizations, health care, government, media and hospitality. We are thrilled to have her as part of the team,” Florida League President Patricia Brigham said.

“As we move past the 2020 election, and the League begins to prepare for a major Legislative Session, redistricting, and Florida’s statewide races in 2022, having a highly qualified staff is essential for success.”

Nash most recently served as director of development and strategic marketing at the Hemophilia Foundation of Greater Florida, where she was responsible for managing annual fundraising events, including budget management, marketing, and logistics, creating diverse streams of revenue and advocacy outreach.

She is also the owner of Trusted Source Consulting, which provides executive management services to nonprofit organizations, professional associations, and small businesses.

Nash has also held management roles at membership organizations such as the Florida Nurses Association, the Orlando Regional Realtor Association, and the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association.

She will be based at the League’s state headquarters in Orlando.
