House Speaker Chris Sprowls and the two Republicans in line to succeed him will host a fundraiser in Tallahassee on the eve of the Legislative Session.
Sprowls, Rep. Paul Renner and Rep. Danny Perez are raising money on behalf of House Majority, the GOP’s state House campaign arm.
The event will be in the Magnolia Room of the Governors Club from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday. The invitation says social distancing protocols will be enforced.
The event is billed as a “last call,” a possible reference to the fundraising ban for lawmakers during the 60-day Legislative Session, which begins Tuesday.
Renner, a Palm Coast Republican, recently took over as chair of the House GOP campaign arm. He is in line to become Speaker after the 2022 elections.
Perez, who just entered his second term, is slated to serve as House Speaker for the 2024-26 term.
