Ron DeSantis tops Donald Trump in another straw poll
The Trump/DeSantis feud continues.

Changing of the guard in the GOP?

Another weekend brings another straw poll in which Florida’s Governor outpaced former President Donald Trump.

Fox News and other outlets report Gov. Ron DeSantis had more support for a hypothetical 2024 presidential campaign than Trump did for another run.

This weekend, the Western Conservative Summit 2024 straw poll in Colorado saw 71% approval for a DeSantis run, four points ahead of Trump. No other candidate drew even 30% support, suggesting that DeSantis continues to consolidate the “Anybody but Trump” lane.

This event, associated with Colorado Christian University, is the second recent straw poll conducted far away from the Sunshine State to show DeSantis atop Trump.

A poll of 325 attendees of the Wisconsin Republican Convention, reported by, saw DeSantis receive 38% of the vote in a hypothetical 2024 GOP field that included over two dozen potential candidates.

Trump grabbed 32% of the vote. Only 43% of poll respondents wanted Trump to run again.

Though straw polls can be wildly variable, these non-scientific surveys track with more formal polling showing DeSantis is becoming the first choice with an increasing number of Republicans as a potential 2024 GOP standard-bearer.

The trend extends to prediction markets where people invest in candidate positions regarding the 2024 presidential election.

The PredictIt platform shows the Florida Governor achieved parity with Trump earlier this week to be the candidate most likely to occupy the White House following the 2024 cycle in a General Election market. PredictIt still sees Trump as the front-runner in the fight for the nomination.

Trump presumably still sees himself as the front-runner, having made the point for months that DeSantis wouldn’t dare run against him.

“I do think if I run, he won’t,” Trump said last December, one of several quotes making the same point the previous winter and spring.

“I know they try and create a friction. I don’t think it exists at all. It might, you know, you never know. If he wanted to run, that’s OK with me. I think we’d win by a lot. But he’s good. And he’s done a good job as Governor.”

    No surprise!
America’s Governor is seen as the solution, youthful, new generation, wonderful record of accomplishment and willing to fight on principal, not stupid stuff like ex Potus.

He showed how you can read the science and defeat Covid. Florida is the model state in all reasonable standards.

This is good news for America’s Gov and the GOP in that they have potential alternative to ex Potus 45.

All politics is local, and Florida is what matters the most for now. After November’s re elect, anything is possible.

The western summit is a good barometer for Gov Ron. His conservative, center right philosophy will draw great enthusiasm even more. America’s Gov is the real deal. God bless him and his family! Do for America what you have done for Florida.

Desantis is a crook, serial liar, sadist, fascist, also rigged into office by Putin, a covid denier, anti vaxx, got 50,000 extra people killed, has Russian trolls praising him all over the internet, is a major cheater, is trying to do away with democracy, womens rights, corporate rights, gay rights, educators, healthcare providers and any semblance of gun control or enviromental protection. In Russia they call him :our new agent, the next trump”, So yes he is perfect for today’s fact-free radicalized racist GOP.

Desantis is another crooked Russian rigged in agent and wannabe fascist dictator like trump. he cares about nothing and nobody but himself and has a 60% disapproval rating in FL including 45% who strongly disapprove. So knowing he cant win an election fairly he is setting it up to cheat. Also these polls are all for profit frauds. Whoever bribes the pollster the most wins. trump had Michael Cohen bribe the evangelicals to move him from #10 to #1 in their. early 2016 poll. Also to the extent Desantis is popular with Republicans, they dont know him like we know him in Florida.

Ask Hiliary how those straw polls worked out for her. They’re about as useless as DeSantis. And this is coming from someone who wants Ronnie to be the next potus. That way he won’t be just Florida’s problem anymore. He’ll be everyone’s problem.

Right You are. Im in Fla and hope we dont loose him to POTUS but if so this country would be better off with Trump policies which work without the arrogant man himself. If Florida was bad why are so many New Yorkers moving here and so many Northerners coming in groves. I see it everyday. There proably coming to change the vote then leave.

Nope if Trump runs he will win. If Trump does not run DeSantis will win.
    Its that simple.
What we have here are the establishment swamp RINO’s, Democrats, and leftists teaming up with a fake poll to lure Trump into announcing hes running for POTIS as far ahead of the mid-terms as possable in order to drum up enough Trump hate to save a few mid-term seats from going Republican.
Everyone already knows POTIS will be Trump or DeSantis maybe a Trump/DeSantis as VP tickit.
Either way the Swamp, RINO’s, Leftists know they are screwed, glued, and tattoed when it comes to POTIS.
