Suspect in assault at Pelosi home had posted about QAnon

Blogs posted in recent months online under the name David DePape contained rants about technology, aliens, communists, religious minorities, transexuals and global elites.

The man accused of breaking into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s California home and severely beating her husband with a hammer appears to have made racist and often rambling posts online, including some that questioned the results of the 2020 election, defended former President Donald Trump and echoed QAnon conspiracy theories.

David DePape, 42, grew up in Powell River, British Columbia, before leaving about 20 years ago to follow an older girlfriend to San Francisco. A street address listed for DePape in the Bay Area college town of Berkeley led to a post office box at a UPS Store.

DePape was arrested at the Pelosi home early Friday. San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said she expected to file multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and elder abuse.

Stepfather Gene DePape said the suspect had lived with him in Canada until he was 14 and had been a quiet boy.

“David was never violent that I seen and was never in any trouble although he was very reclusive and played too much video games,” Gene DePape said.

He said he hasn’t seen his stepson since 2003 and tried to get in touch with him several times over the years without success.

“In 2007, I tried to get in touch but his girlfriend hung up on me when I asked to talk to him,“ Gene DePape said.

David DePape was known in Berkeley as a pro-nudity activist who had picketed naked at protests against local ordinances requiring people to be clothed in public.

Gene DePape said the girlfriend whom his son followed to California was named Gypsy and they had two children together. DePape also has a child with a different woman, his stepfather said.

Photographs published by The San Francisco Chronicle on Friday identified DePape frolicking nude outside city hall with dozens of others at the 2013 wedding of pro-nudity activist Gypsy Taub, who was marrying another man. Taub did not respond Friday to calls or emails.

A 2013 article in The Chronicle described David DePape as a “hemp jewelry maker” who lived in a Victorian flat in Berkeley with Taub, who hosted a talk show on local public-access TV called “Uncensored 9/11,” in which she appeared naked and pushed conspiracy theories that the 2001 terrorist attacks were “an inside job.”

A pair of web blogs posted in recent months online under the name David DePape contained rants about technology, aliens, communists, religious minorities, transexuals and global elites.

An Aug. 24 entry titled “Q,” displayed a scatological collection of memes that included photos of the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and made reference to QAnon, the baseless pro-Trump conspiracy theory that espouses the belief that the country is run by a deep state cabal of child sex traffickers, satanic pedophiles and baby-eating cannibals.

“Big Brother has deemed doing your own research as a thought crime,” read a post that appeared to blend references to QAnon with George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984.”

In an Aug. 25 entry titled “Gun Rights,” the poster wrote: “You no longer have rights. Your basic human rights hinder Big Brothers ability to enslave and control you in a complete and totalizing way.”

The web hosting service WordPress removed one of the sites Friday afternoon for violating its terms of service.

On a different site, someone posting under DePape’s name repeated false claims about COVID vaccines and wearing masks, questioned whether climate change is real and displayed an illustration of a zombified Hillary Clinton dining on human flesh.

There appeared to be no direct posts about Pelosi, but there were entries defending former President Donald Trump and Ye, the rapper formally known as Kayne West who recently made antisemitic comments.

In other posts, the writer said Jews helped finance Hitler’s political rise in Germany and suggested an antisemitic plot was involved in Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine.

“The more Ukrainians die NEEDLESSLY the cheaper the land will be for Jews to buy up,” the post said.

In a Sept. 27 post, the writer said any journalists who denied Trump’s false claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election “should be dragged straight out into the street and shot.”

Oh, and get it right I got 1.4% of the vote! Which exceeded my goal by 40%. You make it seem like I was running for office. I was running to secure ballot access in a repressive Democrat controlled Blue state.

Tell me, honestly, does it hurt when you try to engage that dried up husk of a bitter & indoctrinated brain?

Much respect for making lemonade out of lemons regarding your vote total, and your goal.

Based on your comments here, I am convinced that election was stolen from you, either due to fraudulent absentee ballots, dead people not voting, ballots from China with bamboo fibers, 2000 mules leaving their waste near polling sites preventing voters from voting, or possibly the bad, uninformed judgment of those who voted R or D like robots. I would call Mike Lindell and Sidney Powell or Rudy to get this mess straightened out as soon as possible.

            Please keep the comments coming.

Nah, Joe, It wasn’t a steal. I do wish I could explain CT politics, but after all the comments I remain certain that you wouldn’t understand it.

However, there was ***ONE*** district I would have won if Linda McMahon hadn’t been the spoiler in the race! You do know what a spoiler is don’t you?

Do you understand what I did there? There was never any real doubt that the Dems were going to appoint Chris Murphy (D) to the Senate. But Linda McMahon (R) did manage to win a number of districts. Unfortunately in the districts she lost she was “defeated” by far more than the number of votes that I and the other 3rd party candidates siphoned off from the two-party race. Except of one.

Well there was one district that was a close race between the D and the R, So some would say that I was the spoiler for Linda in that precinct, or one could, with tongue in cheek, say that she was my spoiler.

And it is with that level of absurdity that one must consider the 2012 US Senate race in CT.

You Trolls & fale Aliases seem to think you can embarrass me on my results in that race. But you cannot. I accomplishes what I set out to do. I topped the 1% threshold that allowed the Libertarian Party to achieve ballot access *WITHOUT* petitioning for signatures each and every year.

I saved the LPCT & the LP (national) nearly a million dollars of petitioning costs for subsequent elections.
You may think that’s a joke, but I’m very proud of my accomplishment.

But please go on, keep mocking that which you clearly do not understand. I attained my goal them, and my goal now it to allow you and your kind to embarrass themselves. And for helping me to succeed, I thank you.

The Left is desperately trying to attach the actions of a *CLEARLY INSANE* individual to the Right. If we assume the quotations in the AP article are accurate, it becomes apparent that the individual in question is Bohemian to the point of instability. It’s impossible to imagine that he would fit in at a Young Republicans meeting or rally.

The only ‘political motivation’ that existed in his mind were what the voices were telling him. And since he’s not a screaming lunatic that needed to be sedated 24×7, there were probably periods of lucidity that seeped into his disturbed mind. The simple fact is that the economy has been destroyed by the Left, and that is the ultimate background that his body was moving through.

So while the Left continues to try to tar the Right with this damaged brush, please use common sense to see the deceptive intent. He deserves to be locked up.

Democrats are desperate to try to change the narrative of the midterms. They want it to be about abortion and Jan 6. Sorry, but people are going to vote based on what effects their personal lives and everyday living. Right now, gas prices are going up because of Biden and the Democrat’s insane energy policies. Inflation is going up because of Democrat’s insane economic policies. In some areas of the north, heating homes will cost more than 160% higher than it was last year. Food costs are going up. Living costs are going up. This is what is on the mind of voters more than anything else. And that is what the polls show very clearly. Democrats aren’t focusing on the right things. And they will lose very badly because of that.

ABORTION IS THE #1 ISSUE AMONG 18-29 YEAR OLD WOMEN IN 2022 ELECTION:

“despite constant reports in the media on inflation and rising prices as the top issues in this election, ABORTION AND WOMEN’S RIGHTS are actually the most important for young women as they head to the ballot box.”—-Florida Politics

        October 29, 2022 at 11:11 am

I think abortion will be a bigger factor in the election that most people think. I suspect that there are a lot of women who publicly would describe themselves as pro-life, who publicly would say they would never have an abortion …. and yet PRIVATELY have been made a bit nervous by the overturning of Roe v. Wade. In one fell swoop, women in red states have lost a significant measure of self-determination, in ways that men have no frame of reference for. After all, there are NO laws affecting men’s reproductive choices. I think women are going to remember this on Election Day.

        October 29, 2022 at 11:47 am

Maybe so, but it’s more important to educate then to the longer lasting dangers of allowing Democrats to *DESTROY* the economy & the nation!

By allowing the Left to plan the dialogue, the Useful Idiots might secure their ‘abortion rights’ and find themselves in a bankrupt broken nation that sees them as excess baggage.

Look up the phrase “useless eater” and tell me if that judgement is more likely to be applied to a dried up old childless hag or to the matriarch of a healthy family?

Does the analogy seem barbaric? It’s supposed to.

          Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ,

You called for Nancy Pelosi to be executed

Marjorie Taylor Greene, you stated Nancy should be hung for treason.

          This sounds barbaric.

Are death threats the norm for Republicans leaders Paul?

          • Paul Passarelli

            October 30, 2022 at 12:15 am

Considering that Nancy Pelosi is a treasonous liar and a dangerous & disgusting and corrupt politician, I’d say that calling for a charge of Treason — which does & should include the death penalty for those found guilty is NOT actually a death threat.

It’s a call for investigation & charges. Here’s the thing. Some of us still believe in “Innocent until proven guilty.” But then the evidence is considered & weighed, the guilt does start to pile up.

So for as long as you want to play disingenuous word games, I’m happy to parse your words intended to deceive and peel away the rhetoric & lies.

You Democrats do make it easy. You say so many things that are so easily disproven or are just blatant lies.

Your belief that women’s only purpose is as a public utility to breed white christianists to keep up with all the other groups that you think are trying to replace you, is why every women tells you “NO”, Paul. No wonder you resent women Paul, since you need at least one to reproduce. But, none want to reproduce with you, right Paul??

Dan, the problem with too many voters, unfortunately, is that they can’t see beyond U.S. borders. The pandemic has affected the global economy in ways we have have no frame of reference for. Gas prices and inflation are up all over the world, things are even worse in some European countries than here. Is that Joe Biden’s fault also?

      • Paul Passarelli

        October 29, 2022 at 11:59 am

Yes! It is Sleepy Joe’s fault. Why? Because the US dollar is still the defacto currency that most international trade is conducted in. When we devalue the dollar, the ripple effect is to devalue the entire world’s supply of currency!

An naive person will argue that then the dollar goes down in relation to something else, that the other currency is stronger, resulting in balance. But in this era of globalization, the NET effects of the reserve currency being inflated is that ALL currencies are inflated.

The biggest problem is that the US Education system has so dumbed down three full generations of Americans, it’s becoming more difficult to reach through the veil of indoctrination to get people to see the light.

I fear that when the SHTF there will be a purge. I feel sorry for those that are destined to be eliminated, but they have become as stupid as domesticated turkeys.

Of course the 70M or so of us that remain, will be in a favorable position to reassert American Exceptionalism, and put the United States back in its rightful place as the beacon of freedom.

I’m not advocating for the purge. It’s in the hands of the Left to light the match. I do wonder if they realize what will emerge from the ashes of the fires they’ve lit.
