Sluggish fundraising continues for Ron DeSantis’ ‘Freedom Fund’ targeting weed, abortion amendments

The account finally got over $100,000 raised in late June. But will that be enough?

Gov. Ron DeSantis has touted his Florida Freedom Fund as his vehicle to stop two constitutional amendments from becoming law.

But after a month and a half, it’s not clear how much capital the committee ultimately will have to target well-funded initiatives to legalize cannabis and to remove some state abortion prohibitions enacted during DeSantis’ tenure.

The committee has raised just north of $121,000 as of June 28, with the bulk of the activity coming in the seven days preceding that date.

Apopka’s POB Ventures, LLC donated $100,000. The company holds a Cannabis College trademark, which seems to facilitate the Sativa University at its address, a training ground for those wanting to get into the medical marijuana sector.

Real estate developer Ronald Wolf of Pennsylvania also donated $10,000 in the most recent reported week.

DeSantis’ committee has a lot of ground to make up in the next four months if it seeks to counter message these proposals.

Floridians Protecting Freedom, which is behind the abortion amendment, has raised more than $38 million with nearly $15.5 million on hand at last check, and more than $293,000 raised in the last week.

Smart & Safe Florida, the best-funded cannabis legalization amendment in American history, has raised more than $60 million, and had more than $13 million on hand as of June 21. It has been funded primarily by Trulieve and other dispensaries seeking expansion of their markets beyond the current medical marijuana setup.

Puff puff sniff sniff, oh, what a relief it is..
Who’s backing Gov’s play on this? Trulief, Fluent? The Doc who gets $250 every 6 months for an office exam? Weed will still be cheaper on the street no matter what happens here. Think how Gov can expend the useful State Guard with the proceeds once it’s legal?

Do working part-time, I earn more than $13,000 per month. I kept hearing how much money people could make online, so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true, and it completely altered my life… This is what I do; you can learn more about it by visiting the website listed below.

    HERE’S HOW THE GRIFT WORKS!
$100,000 isn’t enough money to run a single television ad. The PAC will be dissolved, forgotten and the organizers will pocket the $100,000 as salary.

Do you understand that when one type of person gets a store discount or a tax relief that the rest of the taxpayers or store customers pay a higher price for your discount !!!

I am totally against a discount that is only going to raise the cost to consumers because a company is never going to lower their profit margin to balance out a discount, they pass it on to other consumers or tax payers.

Florida Freedom Fund is an oxymoron and Rona is a moron. True freedom is the ability to grow and use plants such as cannabis and the ability of a woman to control her own body including medical decisions about having a child. So glad that the donations for Rona’s facist efforts are lacking. Guessing that the donors are buying condoms and bongs.

I’m so sorry I voted for him. He’s a control freak. Passing laws that only benefit the rich. I hope marijuana is made legal as it should be. He’s in bed with the pharmaceutical industry just like the rest of them. He’s pompous not practical.

“Prohibition Pat” as he is known, donated the $100,000.00 in likely drug money from Sativa University which could even just be a front for illicit drug dealing through his related venture that claims to sell Florida hemp but really sells black market weed coming from out of the state, possibly cartel grown according to some rumors. This is through a business named “Chronic Guru.”

Patrick is trying to keep a stranglehold on selling the out of state weed he falsely calls hemp and is pushing it through advertisements featured on online porn sites which he frequents apparently and clearly supports with his advertising dollars. Patrick is one step removed from a dirty smut peddler online and who knows what else he has his hand in with the porn websites, maybe he owns them too? Really a weird angry guy who posts these crazy rants on social media even blowing things up with explosives and who is now trying to defeat legalization in Florida. Patrick is nothing more than a drug dealer pretending to sell hemp and funneling advertising money back into the porn industry. What an absolute horrible human being putting so many at risk for his own financial gain and supporting the online porn industry that has exploited so many women and young girls. Patrick you should be ashamed, but even more ashamed of your online activities. Florida is very ashamed of you and Sativa University. Hopefully nobody at “Chronic Guru” gets caught red-handed. Very bad person all around, Patrick is a Prohibition supporter and doesn’t want Florida to have legalized weed because he thinks he has figured out a way to keep doing it without going to jail himself and that is very good for his pockets and the disgusting online porn industry he supports too with his advertising dollars.
