Last week, the City of Jacksonville’s Information Technology chief, Usha Mohan, officially resigned her service with the City of Jacksonville.
During the June transition period, the Information Technology budget hearing had its contentious moments, with questions ranging from use of reserve and surplus funds to workforce allocation.
Emails between Mohan and Chief Administrative Office Sam Mousa on the subject were brief and cordial.
Mohan wrote, late Thursday evening, to Mousa that “It has been a pleasure working with you over the last month. I wish you and the City of Jacksonville all the best. One City, One Jacksonville!”
Mousa’s response likewise suggested that he’s not getting paid by the word.
“Acknowledged and accepted,” Mousa wrote regarding the resignation letter. “Thank you for your service to the City of Jax. Good luck in your future endeavors.”
Undoubtedly, the new IT chief will be amenable to the departmental restructuring the Curry braintrust seeks.
Mohan was appointed in January, 2012, by the previous mayoral administration, at a salary of $135K.
