Ad focus: Marco Rubio vows to ‘uphold the Constitution’ in new advertisement

rubio, marco - iowa

Marco Rubio is vowing to uphold the Constitution in a new advertisement hitting the airwaves this week.

In the 30-second spot, Rubio is shown talking about his beliefs in faith and family. The Florida senator speaks directly to the camera as music plays in the background.

“I believe you can’t have a strong America without strong families. I believe in the fundamental freedoms that make us great. And I believe in God; that God has blessed America,” he says in the advertisement.

He continues: “I’m Marco Rubio. I approved this message because it’s time for a president who will put their left hand on the Bible and their right hand in the air and keep their promise to uphold the Constitution. It’s been eight years since we have had a president willing to do that. I will.”

The advertisement, called “Eight Years,” will begin airing in Iowa. The Iowa caucuses are Monday.
