A super PAC supporting Marco Rubio is out with a new advertisement urging Jeb Bush supporters to back a candidate who can “take on Hillary Clinton … and win.”
The 30-second spot from Baby Got PAC doesn’t mention Rubio by name, but calls on Bush supporters to ponder who is the best candidate for the future.
“If you’re a Republican donor or insider who supported Jeb Bush, you did so for all the right reasons. Jeb cut taxes, created jobs and reformed education. But this year, Jeb can’t win,” a man says in the advertisement, called “A Message to the Establishment.”
“Now it’s time to ask who do we really want on that stage with Hillary. Republicans need a candidate for the future, who can take on Hillary Clinton and her media allies, and win. The future of our party and our country depends on it.”
John Jordan, the multimillionaire owner of Jordan Winery and a Republican donor, announced last year he was backing Rubio with his new super PAC, Baby Got PAC.
Rubio leads Bush in the polls. He was in second place in a NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll released Friday with 17 percent. The survey showed Bush was at 9 percent.
