Carlos Beruff to march in protest of president’s Cuba trip

On Sunday, U.S. Senate hopeful Carlos Beruff will join the March in support of Cuban Civil Society in Miami to protest President Barack Obama’s Cuba trip.

The March begins 11 a.m. at the Brigade 2506 Monument, at the intersection of Southwest 13th Avenue and Southwest Eighth Street. It ends at the Casa del Preso Político Cubano.

Beruff has taken a hard line on Cuba relations thus far in his campaign. That’s put him in the uncomfortable position of explaining what some consider to be an evolution in his position regarding the island nation.

He’s the first candidate so far to commit to this particular march.
