Clay County Commission candidate Mike Cella scores Gavin Rollins endorsement

Tuesday saw Mike Cella, the leading fundraiser in his Clay County Commission District 1 race, score an endorsement from current commissioner Gavin Rollins.

As Rollins prepared for deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, he didn’t leave before offering the following.

“Mike Cella brings a vast amount of experience and he is the most prepared to step into the role of County Commissioner on day one.” Rollins said in a statement, “I look forward to working closely with Mike to make Clay County a better place when I return to the County Commission following my deployment.”

Mike Cella said he was “extremely humbled and thankful for Commissioner Rollins’ endorsement. ”

“He is a strong leader for Clay County.  A true public servant, his commitment to his community and the United States is unrivaled and I wish him a safe deployment and look forward to working with him on the County Commission when he returns,” Cella added.

Cella, a member of the Clay Chamber and the Republican Executive Committee, is checking all of the boxes one might need checked for a successful campaign.
