On Tuesday, Jacksonville plans a Parade of Champions to honor the national championship basketball team from Ribault High School.

Bluesday starts at 3 p.m., with a parade leaving the Jacksonville Landing and culminating with a 3:30 p.m. celebration in Hemming Park.

At the start of the Council meeting at 5 p.m., the team will be honored with a presentation in City Council chambers.

In a letter to city employees Friday, Curry said he was “incredibly proud of the successes the Lady Trojans and Ribault High School have achieved, earning national recognition for Jacksonville. Their exemplary performance, both on and off the court, is a sterling example of leadership, dedication, and diligence—attributes that deserve celebration.”
