Rebecca Negron raised $239,000 in the first three months of 2016. According to her campaign, the sum marks her strongest fundraising period to date.

“I am truly overwhelmed by the strong support my campaign for Congress has received,” she said in a prepared statement Thursday. “As I have campaigned throughout the district, the support my message for Americans to start pulling together again to reclaim our government is clearly catching on.”

The strong fundraising period comes as the Stuart Republican continues to rack up endorsements in her Congressional District 18 bid. In March, U.S. Rep. Tom Rooney threw his support behind Negron, saying she is “committed to strengthening and empowering our military, ensuring we have the tools necessary to secure and protect our nation.”

Since announcing her candidacy, Negron has received endorsements from several Treasure Coast officials. The Martin County Republican has also been endorsed by Maggie’s List. CD 18 includes Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties. She also received the backing of the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association.

Campaign finance records show Negron raised more than $389,700 in 2015. Records show she raised more than $107,800 in the final three months of 2015.

Rebecca Negron is the wife of Senate President-designate Joe Negron. She is vying to replace Rep. Patrick Murphy in the U.S. House.
