A year ago, Senators Audrey Gibson and Aaron Bean were part of the local Dancing with the Stars. This year, Representative Charles McBurney will trip the light fantastic for charity.
The next Jacksonville’s Dancing with the Stars event will be June 4, at 8:00 p.m. at the Times-Union Center in Jacksonville.
On Facebook, the Jacksonville Republican writes “The 2016 Regular Session of the Legislature is over and it is time to go dancing, not the Legislative kind, but for real!! I’ve been asked to raise money for the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus and participate in Jacksonville’s Dancing with the Stars. Every sponsorship dollar and event ticket purchased under my name is a vote for me (and believe me, I need all the support I can get!!).”
To sponsor McBurney, checks made out to “Jacksonville Children’s Chorus” should have “McBurney” in the memo line. Mail your check to JCC, 225 E Duval St., Jacksonville, FL 32202.
Also participating this year: Dane Grey, the Jacksonville entrepreneur who was mentioned in the latest State of the State speech.
