Byron Donalds’ campaign war chest grew by more than $3,000 last month, according to recently filed campaign finance reports.
Donalds raised $3,100 in March. The Naples Republican has raised $93,118 since jumping in the House District 80 race in March 2015.
RAI Services Co. was among Donalds’ top donors during the one-month fundraising period. The Winston-Salem company gave Donalds $1,000.
Donalds spent $1,299 in March, including $500 for consulting services and $226 for T-shirts. Since March 2015, his campaign has spent $17,419.
Donalds will face Naples Republican Joe Davidow in the Aug. 30 election to replace Rep. Matt Hudson in the Florida House.
State records show Davidow raised $1,500 in March, including a $1,000 contribution from the Collier County Medical Society. Since jumping in the race in June, Davidow has raised $29,604.
Davidow spent $2,681 in March. His campaign has spent $8,600 since June 2015.
Hudson can’t run for re-election in 2016 because of term limits. The Naples Republican is now running to replace Sen. Garrett Richter in the state Senate. He’ll face Kathleen Passidomo in the Aug. 30 election.
