State Rep. Victor Torres raised $1,400 in March and his new Democratic primary opponent Bob Healy raised $3,160 in the Orlando-based Senate District 15 race.
Torres, of Orlando enters April with a sizable campaign coffer advantage because he transferred all of his campaign money from his house re-election campaign, providing him with a total of $65,100 in donations to date and $40,641 in the bank.
He did not enter the Florida Senate race until late January and has been in the Florida Legislative Session almost ever since, preventing him from fundraising.
Healy, a former board member of the Osceola County Expressway Authority and runs a pair of funeral homes in Central Florida, entered the race on the final day of February.
SD 15 covers much of south-central and southeast Orange County and much of Osceola County.
The lone Republican in running in SD 15, Peter Vivaldi of Windermere, entered the race last week.
