In the race for House District 11, which includes parts of Duval and Nassau counties, Sheri Treadwell increased her money advantage over Republican primary opponents in April.
$10,349 of new money brought her total cash raised up to $115,169, with $19,301 spent through April. Combined with a $10,000 personal loan, Treadwell has over $105,000 at her disposal.
Treadwell got maximum contributions in April from Rayonier, the Northeast Florida Committee for Principled Government, Curtis Hart, and Terri McGehee, all important bellwethers of the strength of a candidate in the region.
Running second behind Treadwell in the money race is Donnie Horner, who has raised $113,300 through April, but only has $77,000 on hand.
Other candidates are in less comfortable financial positions.
Bryceville Republican Barry Holloway has about $15,000 on hand through April.
Cord Byrd of Neptune Beach has just over $25,000 on hand, with seven straight months of fundraising below $5,000.
Jack Daniels and David Wayne Bunk have not raised money, and are floating their campaigns through personal loans.
One name to watch: Tom Taylor.
The Jacksonville Beach councilman has told friends that he expects a strong month of fundraising, after scoring a wave of beach community endorsements.
April’s numbers aren’t in for Taylor. Through March, he had just over $12,000 on hand.
