The upcoming launch of a Delta IV Heavy rocket with a spy satellite is back on.
United Launch Alliance announced Thursday the launch originally scheduled for this Saturday, then delayed, has been reset for June 9 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
The rocket will carry a satellite into orbit for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office. Earlier this week that agency requested a postponement from the original launch date.
The launch, when it occurs, be the first launch of a Delta IV Heavy since NASA used one to test-fly its deep-space astronaut capsule Orion in December 2014. The Delta IV Heavy is a configuration of the standard Delta IV with two liquid-fuel rocket boosters strapped to the rocket.
