The Florida Federation of Republican Women will officially endorse Donald Trump for president during Trump’s rally at the Tampa Convention Center at 11 a.m. Saturday.
“I have been asked to speak, and that is when I will announce our support,” said Dena DeCamp, president of the Florida Federation and a Republican National Convention delegate pledged to Trump, as are all delegates from Florida.
Trump is scheduled to speak at the rally after DeCamp, Gov. Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Sharon Day, co-chairman of the Republican National Committee.
“The national board met in the spring and voted that the federation chapters would support the party’s nominee,” DeCamp said. “Donald Trump is the nominee and will receive that endorsement and campaign support.”
The support from the Federation is more than a nod of approval. The 40,000 members nationally are made up of grassroots activists, noted for campaigning and planning for Republican candidates.
