Democratic nominee Ryan Yadav has won the endorsement an umbrella group for four local labor groups in the Seminole County Public School System, including the teachers union, according to his campaign for Florida House District 30.
Yadav announced the endorsement of Seminole UniServ, which covers the Seminole Education Association, the Seminole Educational Clerical Association, the Non-Instructional Personnel of Seminole County, and the Seminole County School Bus Drivers Association. Together they have more than 3,300 members.
Yadav, of Orlando, is trying to unseat Republican incumbent state Rep. Bob Cortes of Longwood.
Yadav was educated in Seminole County Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade, where his mother, Rebecca, also taught for 32 years.
