Another day brings another endorsement to Jacksonville lawyer Wyman Duggan in the House District 15 race.
Tuesday’s rollout: the endorsement of Duval County Clerk of Courts Ronnie Fussell.
Fussell is “proud to endorse Wyman Duggan as our next State Representative in District 15 because he is the conservative we can trust to represent our values in Tallahassee.”
“I know Wyman’s passion for service to our community which is why I appointed him to chair the Charter Review Commission when I was City Council President. He will be a strong advocate not only for the Westside,” Fussell added, “but all of Jacksonville.”
Duggan described Fussell as “a man of integrity and dedicated leader who has devoted his life to serving others.”
“I’m proud to have his wisdom and experience as I campaign for this office and I am proud to call him my friend,” Duggan added.
Duggan’s rollout — a year before the primary — is designed to preclude any ballot competition.
And anyone who jumped in at this point would have to contend with a candidate backed by virtually everyone who matters in the Jacksonville power structure.
Duggan is running to replace Rep. Jay Fant in the Westside Jacksonville district, as Fant pursues the 2018 GOP nomination for Attorney General.
