Michelle Ertel named BusinessForce committee director

Michelle Ertel

Michelle Ertel, a political commentator and government affairs consultant, has been named committee director for BusinessForce, a group that is an independent, pro-business public voice of Central Florida.

BusinessForce, originally established as the political arm of Orlando Inc., the Orlando regional chamber of commerce, then taken independent, is composed of regional business and community leaders representing thousands of businesses throughout Central Florida, promoting a pro-business environment. It is non-partisan, supporting and promoting political candidates and elected officials in state and local government who endorse free enterprise.

“When government’s focus is on the well-being of its business community, citizens prosper. Candidates who value a warm business climate have long looked to BusinessForce for guidance and I am elated to now be part of the process,” Ertel stated in a news release issued by BusinessForce.

She will be the principal staff person for the organization.

“The board is happy to have found a high-energy director whose personal values are so closely aligned with the organization’s mission. We look forward to working with Michelle as we continue to provide support and advocacy to Central Florida,” stated BusinessForce Chairman Craig Swygert, of Clear Channel Outdoor.

Ertel has been a political analyst and government relations consultant and frequent commentator appearing in Central Florida media including Spectrum News 13, WOFL Fox 35, 90.7 WMFE and the Orlando Sentinel. She is married to Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Mike Ertel.
