A little bit of everything from online over the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday saw folks in orange flood the Twittersphere to express their support for raising the awareness of gun violence. Many Democratic pols grabbed themed-garb, but this edition includes only a few examples.
On Sunday, Gov. Rick Scott congratulated the graduating class at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the site of the Feb. 14 Parkland tragedy:
Congratulations to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School graduates. We continue to honor those who tragically lost their lives. https://t.co/gkCSpcbkZO

The Friday before the weekend, Scott’s campaign account took advantage of National Donut Day to highlight a touching story about the Governor’s earliest small-business venture:

Meanwhile incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson showed even he is willing to knock on doors this cycle:

In the statewide race for the Governor’s Mansion, Democratic candidate Gwen Graham spent time in Tallahassee, an area she represented in Congress:

Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, who also is running for the Democratic nod in the gubernatorial race, sported orange this weekend with many others to raise awareness of gun violence:

Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum did likewise, finding a way to fashion the color into his suit:
At @MomsDemand Wear Orange 2018 I spoke with Patricia & @manueloliver00, the parents of Joaquin who lost his life in Parkland. We need to fight for “Guac”, his classmates & thousands more. Thanks @shannonrwatts for helping lead this fight! #WearOrange pic.twitter.com/nJxbEWwlGX

Orlando businessman Chris King, who unveiled a plan last week to fund gun violence prevention and intervention initiatives via revenue collected from bullet taxes, called out Sarah Palin after the former Governor of Alaska shared an article criticizing the plan:
Hey @SarahPalinUSA, @ me next time. Here’s my plan: https://t.co/q55amRSgIf https://t.co/KEkYQ1JPsv

Republican candidate for Governor Adam Putnam was honored Sunday by the Purple Heart Veterans of Florida:

U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, the other formidable Republican, spoke with supporters in Brevard:

In statewide Cabinet races, some candidates aren’t showing any sign of summer apathy.
Republican Agriculture Commissioner candidate Denise Grimsley, also a state senator, highlighted her team’s ability to hit pockets across the state in just one week:

Similarly, Ag Comish candidate Matt Caldwell doesn’t take it easy on the weekends:

Tampa Democratic Attorney General candidate Sean Shaw hit South Florida:

In one congressional race, an issue emerged and phased out solely on Twitter, as reported by AG Gancarski of Florida Politics:
My opponent continues to shows he is aligned with @RealDonaldTrump https://t.co/1UDjE9lhmX
— Alvin Brown (@Alvin4Congress) June 2, 2018
Incumbent Democratic U.S. Rep. Al Lawson saw it differently:
When our campaign accounts are hacked and the best they can do is RT Donald Trump on our account. Dirty politics at best #FlaPol https://t.co/4lCwpbojuO
— Al Lawson (@AlLawsonJr) June 2, 2018
Orlando Democratic U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy helped open an office that will later come to her aid:
So energized to be in Casselberry today to help open the @dccc #BattleStation #FL07! We’ll be here until 6:00 talking about how YOU can help #KeepFL07Blue! #TakeItBack #FlaPol pic.twitter.com/cC0xS4BYme

And of course, members of the Legislature — facing a challenge or not — remained active online over the weekend.
Rep. Carlos Guillermo Smith, the Orlando Democrat, donned orange apparel:
Having a great time with our @MomsDemand t-shirts standing against everyday gun violence. Today, I teamed up with @pulseorlando Mom Mayra Alvear so that we can #HonorThemWithAction! 🏳️🌈🇵🇷 pic.twitter.com/Mna53DSIoZ

Rep. Shevrin Jones helped chip in big for future college students:
Today, I was happy to present $1000 scholarships to Jasmine Green and Ellington Rutledge on behalf of my foundation, @myLEADNation. They both have shown great commitment to their education & community. Jasmine will be attending @FAMU_1887 & Ellington will be attending @univmiami. pic.twitter.com/V5pUjgmiTV

Rep. Bobby Olszewski shared one struggle of campaigning in the Sunshine State, while also highlighting an early legislative success:
Very humid but an extremely positive day visiting with voters in FL House District 44 where I was proud to bring an appropriation home from Tallahassee for the Town of Oakland for their water treatment that helps restore Lake Apopka. #VoteBobbyO pic.twitter.com/Od4Ep1PYwX
— Bobby Olszewski (@BobbyOlszewski) June 2, 2018
Capping this review off — although not from a politician — is a tweet from MSD survivor David Hogg. The graduating senior generated a bit of buzz for calling out Sen. Marco Rubio with his flair:
Thanks for the tassel @marcorubio pic.twitter.com/xZPFBhgFOm

All Democrats in Congress serve to strengthen the numbers for the leftists in charge, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Regardless of what they say in the campaign or how they vote in Congress, any Democrat will ultimately strengthen the leftist agenda in Congress. . . . VOTE REPUBLICAN IN 2018!
