Ron DeSantis reveals his inaugural theme

For Ron DeSantis, the future’s only getting “brighter.”

The Governor-elect and his running mate, Lt. Gov.-elect Jeanette Nuñez, on Thursday released the theme of their 2019 Inauguration: a “Bold Vision for a Brighter Future.”

“This election was about the future of our state, how we can build on our success, and address the challenges that lie ahead,” DeSantis said in a statement.

“As I prepare to take office as the 46th Governor of Florida, we are laying the groundwork to implement our vision to protect and strengthen our state and hit the ground running on Day One. I look forward to Floridians coming together during the inaugural events where I will share a ‘Bold Vision for a Brighter Future.’ ”

Added Brian Ballard, chair of the 2019 Inaugural Committee: “Gov.-elect DeSantis’ ‘Bold Vision for a Brighter Future’ inaugural theme will be incorporated across events open to all Floridians.

“As the father of two young children and as an Iraq War veteran who has personally sacrificed abroad to protect our freedom at home, Gov.-elect DeSantis is committed to move our state forward toward continued success,” he said. “The Inaugural Committee looks forward to bringing our state together and sharing his vision for the future.”
