“He is an experienced, reliable and diligent leader with a unique set of skills working at both local and national levels,” Nuñez said in a statement. “I am confident that under his leadership, my staff and I are in good hands.”
The following info comes from a press release sent by the transition:
Garcia comes to the DeSantis-Nuñez Administration following a stint as Political Director for House Campaigns at the Republican Party of Florida.
Prior to that, he worked as Deputy State Director for the Republican National Committee’s “Florida Victory” program. There, Garcia oversaw Hispanic initiatives and field operations.
From 2011-13, Garcia worked in the Florida Legislature as a legislative aide. He was Campaign Manager for Michael Bileca for State Representative in 2012 and Deputy Campaign Manager for Anitere Flores for State Senate in 2010.
Garcia, the son of Cuban exiles, is a graduate of Florida International University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
