The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration has changed its letterhead to remove the name of former Secretary Mary Mayhew, but Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration has not said who is replacing Mayhew at the agency, which oversees $30 billion in spending.
The Governor’s office and AHCA as of Tuesday morning had not answered questions from The News Service of Florida about leadership at the agency.
Mayhew announced last month that she was leaving the agency post to become president and CEO of the Florida Hospital Association. Mayhew took the reins at the hospital association on Monday.
Though her work most recently has been in the public sector, Mayhew for 11 years served as a president at the Maine Hospital Association.
