It’s nearly two years out from the next West Palm Beach Mayor’s race, but West Palm Beach Commissioner Christina Lambert is wasting no time making a major statement when it comes to fundraising.
Lambert reported raising a whopping $210,000 in the first quarter between her candidate account and political committee, blowing away her only declared challenger so far, Palm Beach County Commissioner Gregg Weiss.
Lambert brought in nearly $103,000 between Jan. 1 and March 31 through her main candidate account, all via outside donations. She also collected $107,500 during that time frame via her PC, Friends of Christina Lambert.
That’s on top of raising $252,000 through her PC in just 16 days to close the fourth quarter of 2024.
That means Lambert has already collected more than $462,000 for the March 2027 contest to succeed West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James, who is facing term limits.
She still holds just over $426,000 in available funding as of March 31.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support for this campaign,” Lambert said in a statement.
“As we build one of the broadest and most diverse coalitions in our city’s history, it’s clear that people across West Palm Beach are energized to shape our future together. This campaign is about all of us — our shared goals, hopes, and the belief that by working together, we can continue to build a city that works for everyone.”
Weiss, meanwhile, has not hit the ground running in terms of fundraising. He reported nothing in outside contributions in the first quarter of 2025, but did add just over $5,000 in loans to his candidate account. His PC added only $19,500.
Lambert, meanwhile, has also secured several notable endorsements for her campaign. That includes backing from the Fraternal Order of Police, West Palm Beach Firefighters Association, SEIU Florida and the Black Democratic Caucus of Palm Beach County.
Lambert last won election to the West Palm Beach City Commission in March 2024, securing 72% of the vote in District 5.
Weiss first joined the Palm Beach County Commission in 2018 and has a term ending in 2026.
