Reggie Gaffney sworn in

Freshman Jacksonville City Council Democrats Katrina Brown and Reggie Gaffney have at least a couple things in common.

They both serve on the Finance Committee, which just approved the municipal budget on Wednesday afternoon. And they both plan to counterprogram Week 4 of the NFL Preseason, which includes extended action from Tim Tebow with the Philadelphia Eagles, with Town Hall events with their constituents.

The Gaffney event for his District 7 constituents starts at 6:00 p.m., at the Joseph Lee Community Center.

Gaffney does advertise a topic: the Sulzbacher Project (Housing & Pediatric Clinic).

Councilwoman Brown’s Town Hall begins an hour later, and is located at the Bradham-Brooks Library on West Edgewood.

Her event is described as an “information session” and attendees are promised “updates on Council business” from the Councilwoman.
