They will participate in the march urging youth to say “no” to violence, bullying, and substance abuse. Million Youth Peace March Worldwide is an annual mentoring program that aims to teach youth how to be more responsible and resolve conflict in a non-violent manner.

“This is about all of the things facing youth in society today.” said Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill. “We are going to network with other organizations and to bring back information that will help us get stronger.”

The attendees will participate in a weekend of festivities and workshops with several speakers from around the nation, culminating with the march on Saturday.

“This tells me that people that are concerned about violence, bullying, and homelessness. There are people here that care.” said Jack Williams, organizer of the deployment. “I’m very excited and proud of the people that helped me. I couldn’t have done it myself.”
