Sixth Congressional District candidate Brandon Patty made fundraising a priority in the early months of his campaign, raising $110,000 during his first three months in the race.
“Combined with our strong grassroots organization, we’re laying the foundation for success in the primary and in November. In the weeks and months ahead, I’ll continue talking with the people of the district and laying out specific plans for how we can change the way Washington works, promote economic growth and jobs, strengthen our military so we can defeat ISIS and take care of our veterans. We need real conservative solutions, not business as usual, not more tough talk with no action. I am prepared to fight for the people of the 6th district to ensure a better future for Florida and America,” Patty said.
Patty’s team notes in a press release his strong initial support, which includes many leading Northeast Florida movers and shakers in the donor class, including Mark Bailey, John D. Baker, Jay Demetree, and David Hutson.
Since his launch, other fellow travelers have climbed aboard: Mac McGehee, Hap Stein, and Peter Rummell have all donated.
Politicians throughout this corner of the state espouse a regional vision, and Patty’s Jacksonville support speaks to that. He was spotted shaking hands at Wednesday’s Flagler Republican Club meeting also, showing that there’s more to his campaign than just a fundraising base.
