Rick Scott names 3 to Judicial Nominating Commissions

On Friday, Gov. Rick Scott announced three appointments to two Judicial Nominating Commissions.

Seventh Circuit Judicial Nomination Commission

Andrew Morgan, 37, of Saint Augustine, is a partner with Canan Law, P.A. He fills a vacant seat for a term ending July 1, 2018. The Seventh Judicial Circuit Court covers Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties in North Eastern Florida.

Twelfth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission

Nancy Cason, 38, of Sarasota, is a managing partner with Syprett, Meshad, Resnick, Lieb, Dumbaugh, Jones, Krotec & Westheimer, P.A. She is reappointed for a term ending July 1, 2019.

Ronald Filipkowski, 47, of Sarasota, is a partner with the Filipkowski Law Group. He is reappointed for a term ending July 1, 2019.

The Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court covers DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota counties on the western coast of Central Florida.
