Forums for candidates in Florida’s 4th and 5th Congressional Districts highlight Jacksonville’s political calendar Monday evening.
The Jacksonville Young Republicans have confirmed four of seven GOP candidates in CD 4 will be at their Monday meeting, kicking off at 6 p.m. at the Mellow Mushroom in Avondale.
The candidates confirmed as of now are John Rutherford, Ed Malin, Bill McClure, and Steve Kaufman.
All candidates have been invited to attend, so there may be additions to that slate.
For those curious, FloridaPolitics.com covered a forum in recent days involving all seven candidates. A full writeup is here.

Meanwhile, for those in Congressional District 5, a two-hour candidate forum is scheduled between 6 and 8 p.m. at the auditorium at Florida State College Jacksonville’s downtown campus, including congressional candidates and candidates in down-ballot races.
The CD 5 field includes incumbent Corrine Brown and challengers Al Lawson and L.J. Holloway.
Also on the bill: a forum with candidates in House District 13, where incumbent Reggie Fullwood takes on intraparty challengers Lee Brown, Tracie Davis, and J.R. Gaillot.
A House District 14 forum involving Kim Daniels, Leslie Jean-Bart, Terry Fields, and Donald Gaffney is also on the agenda.
Additionally, there will be a forum involving Duval County School Board candidates in Group 5, including former Jacksonville City Councilman Warren Jones, local political operative Bradford Hall, and Hank Rogers, who has been endorsed by outgoing board member Connie Hall.
